Orthodontic Procedures for Children

Initial orthodontic check-ups can make sense as early as age 3 to 5, since misalignments and jaw dysfunctions can be well detected at this age at this point, all baby teeth are present.

Irregularities in the baby teeth often show which problems can be expected in the permanent dentition. That is why we recommend a timely examination of the functionality of a child's dentition, rather than only becoming active during the transitional dentition.

Depending on the findings, children in this age group are treated with, among other things, removable braces, vestibular plates, or functional orthodontic appliances that gently guide jaw growth in the right direction.
