The Right Time for Treatment

Regular orthodontic treatment usually begins before the end of the pubertal growth phase, at around 9 to 12 years of age. As long as jaw growth is not yet complete, misalignments can be corrected more easily.

Whether a removable or a fixed brace is used depends on the individual diagnosis. Minor misalignments can often be corrected with removable braces, while for larger corrections in the permanent dentition we recommend fixed braces.

In addition to classic silver-colored brackets, we also offer aesthetically pleasing, tooth-colored ceramic brackets that do not discolor even with longer wear.
